Vickie's Story

Life Hello! After leaving Lamesa in the middle of my Freshman year, I moved to Amarillo where I went to Crockett Jr. High and graduated from Tascosa High in 1971. Attended Amarillo College for 2 years, married Chris in 1973(and still married to him 30+ years later). Worked at Northwest Texas Hospital in Administration until we were transferred to Wichita Falls in 1976, where I worked in Administration at Bethania Hospital until we were transferred to Pampa. After 10 mos. there, we were tired of being transferred and moved to Dallas, where I worked for a publishing firm, an ...Expand for more
advertising agency and EDS. In 1979, we moved to Arlington; our son was born in 1981, and I went to work for Cummins Corporation, where I was for 20 years, working my way up to VP of Human Resources. When that company was sold in 2001, I started my own consulting firm. At the end of 2003, I accepted a "90-day" project assignment with Abbott Labs in Irving and have been there ever since. My husband, Chris, graduated from West Texas University (when it was STILL WTU) and is an independent Sr. Insurance Claims Investigator. Our son lives in Tulsa, OK and works for DishTV.
