Marilyn's Story

Life Chapter 3: We have now settled down in Sparks, Nevada and loving life. Looking forward to all the joys the Eastern Sierra brings. Come up an see us whenever you can. Chapter 2: Here is the latest update to where life has taken me. We are now back in the USA and staying in Oceanside for awhile. As soon as our work here is done we will be returning to Reno, Nevada. Trindad was a wonderful experience and having been here since October, I really miss life in the islands. It is strange to have 2 countries feel like home. rom a long career as Director of the Mono County Department of Social Services. I lived in the Eastern Sierras from 1978 until I retired in 2002. After doing a little traveling around California visiting friends and family, I left the country for a new adventure in Trinidad and Tobago. I arrived at the beginning of November 2002 and have decided to make this wonderful 2 island Caribbean country my home, indefinitely. My husband and I live in in Glencoe, Trinidad and visit our sister island, Tobago, as often as possible. Would love to hear from anyone from our class. Hoping you are living your dreams too. Cheers! Workplace My 24 year career as Welfare Director for Mono County Social Services and living in the Sierra's was an incredible journey. I must admit that retirement now is the best job I've ever had.
