Kathy's Story
Life
I was married right out of high school and had 2 wonderful daughters. My life revolved around them until the youngest was in kindergarten and then I began my career. In 1990 I moved to Grapevine, Texas to get remarried. I have had many opportunities since then that I am very thankful for. In addition to my 2 daughters, I have a step son and a step daughter. My younger daughter has a 3 year old little girl who is my angel. She is also expecting another baby around Valentine's Day 2005. My older daughter is engaged to a guy who is a crew chief with the Blue Angels so we have seen several shows this year. They plan to start their family as soon as they are married. ts of places I had never been before leaving Amarillo. It has been an adventure. We have both worked hard in our careers and our careers have been good to us. We're looking forward to retiring some day so we can enjoy our family even more.
Workplace
I am the Controller for a land developer and new home builder in Grapevine, Texas. I began my career in commercial construction in Amarillo as a computer operations manager and executive accounting assistant. I moved to the DFW area in 1990 and began working in the residential side of construction, which I have enjoyed very much. In addition to land development and new home construction, my company also builds and leases out office buildings so I am also a property accountant. I have had the opportunity to do many things in this field, which has broadened my knowledge very much.
