Kathy's Story
Life
2017 - Loving retirement with lots less stress. Enjoy walking 5 miles each morning, reading, movies and more time with family and friends. This year we went to family reunions and a trip with our daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law to Alaska, Seattle and Vancouver.
2013 - Lots of business traveling. Enjoy seeing movies with husband. We also enjoy seeing our daughter and granddaughter. Looking forward to our reunion.
2012 - lots of business traveling and time with daughter, granddaughter and family. We've had some fun vacations in DisneyLand, the Galapagos Islands on a Celebrity Cruise including Quito and then Rome including Mediterranean Cruise. So many amazing animals on Galapagos Islands including the blue footed boobies, marine iguana's, large sea and land tortoises, flightless cormorants... just an amazing place.
In 2011 - went on 2 1/2 week Panama Canal Cruise and Paris (normal sites and Champagne Wine Country and Normandy Tours... Still love seeing our daughter and granddaughter (who loves horse riding).
We still visit our relatives in Amarillo several times a year and miss living there. We've had a wonderful life and our daughter is no...Expand for more
w teaching. We love to see movies and are very involved in our church with choir and with the youth group --Christ Care in the past. My husband attended AHS too - but 8 years before us.
School
Received undergraduate BBA degree in Computer Science and then MBA. Had lots of fun in the Sigma Phi Chi Sorority at Amarillo College.
College
I remember when at Amarillo College - some of the guys decided to "streak" across the campus --(pretty funny)seeing them going by in nothing but tennis shoes and socks.... Another time one of my friends talked ME into repelling off the library when some army officers were there "offering" this challenge. Lots of late nights studying and working the night shift as a computer operator at High Plains Baptist Hospital. Fell asleep on many dates due to lack of sleep.... loved those outside drive-in movies.... Annie Green Springs and fried chicken...
Workplace
Worked in programming and technical areas until joining IBM 35 years ago. Have held World Wide, systems engineering, marketing, sales, teaching and management positions. Retired from IBM WebSphere World Wide Sales. Traveled extensively across the US and internationally...
