Deneice's Story
Life
I lived at 2201 S. Nelson Street most of my childhood, moving across town to Tascosa High School the summer before my junior year. I'm posting my profile here to reconnect with some of my childhood friends from Lawndale, Bowie, and Caprock. You may remember me as a rather bookish gal who loved being onstage. I've always been artistic. Still piddle with words (Samples on homepage) and I sing (studied with Seth Riggs in Hollywood). Love jazz. I finished college in Houston in 76, while working and marrying my hometown sweetheart. Took a journalism degree to Las Vegas in 76 where I worked on the city newspaper and in PR for a few years. 90 to study law. Piddled in politics when I returned to Vegas, whereupon entering mid-life passage, I decided I no longer wanted to work or be married. So I studied voice, tap dance, performed in a string of musicals, and ran away from home with a suitcase full of dreams. Fell in love with my stubby, charming prince. And we moved to Paradise (aka San Diego) a few years ago to begin the happily-ever-after. ;) I am still very much in love after ten years. I remain a gentle imp whose outrageous irreverence masks sincere sweetness. Perform comedy improv, sing solos in New Thought churches, piano bars, and wax karaokily at a local dive after Tuesday night acting class. Oh, and perpetually diet. Wait...it's not a diet, it's a "lifestyle change." Yeah, uh huh. ; )~
