Joined Taconic Hills in 9th grade coming straight from Puerto Rico, following the footsteps of my brothers. (Each of us went to school at Taconic Hills in 9th grade, as my parents put it, to learn English and to be independent.) Played soccer, tennis, learned to ski - all that white stuff was new for me. Went back in tenth grade - hated it at home so I left and came back for 11th grade & 12th. Played soccer again and did a lot of skiing, had to work to support the car habit... Did well in school. Terri Moore was my sweetheart, but also hung out with Joe, Kim, Amy and a bunch of others. Off to college in FL - became a divemaster, (still diving - my daughter has now picked it up.) Took a semester off worked and spent it all (except the fall tuition for the next year) on a trip to England, Scotland, Wales for a month - learned to ride a motorcycle. (Have had one since then, my latest is a Honda CBR 1100 - too fast - YIKES!). Came back to NY went to SUNY Albany got my bachelors and masters in teaching. Got married to Joanne out of college, had 2 kids right away - John (now 24), then Christina (now 23). Taught for a few years, including a half a year in FL that did not end well with the kids being allergic to Florida - if you can believe it... Came back to NY finished a masters in school administration. Had number 3 - Caitlyn (now 18 graduate from HS 5/11) and became a principal in Amsterdam, NY.
