Greetings from Delfshaven, Rotterdam, the Netherlands! Rotterdam is the Maas Stad, or Manhattan on the Maas to the locals. I live a few blocks from the Historic Harbour of Delft. The Pilgrim's Father Church is located here. From this harbour, the Pilgrims departed on the 'SPEEDWELL' to Portland, England, where they restocked and switched ships to the 'MAYFLOWER'. It is always special on Thanksgiving Day to remember where it all started... Not far away, lies the SS Rotterdam, on this ship I immigrated with my family back to the USA in the early 1960's. It's been an adventure 'going back to my roots'.
