Pat's Story
Workplace
Hallandale Beach, Florida, Fire Chief's Administrative Assistant for 11 years. Will be retiring in 2 years. Started 18 years ago in Hallandale Beach's Code Enforcement, then Planning and Zoning Divisions. Moved to Florida in 1979 and worked in Burdine's Advertising Department before starting my own successful (own my own home) business as a typesetter and graphic artist for the trade for the next 10 years.

, I worked for American National Bank for 7 years as Secretary to the Vice Presidents of Aircraft Loan, Securities, and Estates and Trust Divisions. Not making enough dough, I took a second job at night which sent me to school at IBM to learn typesetting which landed me in the graphic arts industry for the next 20 years. Then I moved to Florida. Got out of that cold, snowy weather into a warm, tropical clime, which I will never regret!
