Matthew's Story

Life I am currently in my final year of law school at Western New England College. I am studying law generally, but taking classes in contracts and entertainment law perhaps to move in that direction upon graduation. While attending law school, I have been working full time for TALKERS magazine: a trade publication for the talk media industry. I oversee the art department and do graphic design and marketing. My immediate plans are to stay with the magazine and work in a managerial/legal capacity within the entertainment industry. I started a photo studio and production company about two years ago. I am one of 5 photographers currently associated with the studios. We focus on model portfolios and shooting content for magazines,...Expand for more
catalogues and websites. Courtney Hall, also of Longmeadow High School fame, was involved with the studios for a while – but has since gone off to pursue more artistic interests. School I attended Longmeadow High School from 1995-1999. After graduation, I went immediately to UMASS where I double majored in Political Science and Legal Studies. I also graduated with minors in Philosophy and Film Studies. For my thesis, I created a film that was shown locally at festivals and won a few writing and direction awards. After graduation from UMASS, I decided to go to law school. Now in my third year of WNEC, I look forward to being able to apply what I have learned in the classroom to my interests in entertainment and media law.
