Jay's Story
Life
Born in Brooklyn NY. Raised in East Orange NJ. Attended Our Lady Help of Christians grade school from 1947-1954. Attended Seton Hall Prep in South Orange, NJ for two years then transferred to Immaculate Conception HS in Montclair,NJ where I graduated in 1959. Attended Illinois College, Jacksonville, IL and graduated with BA in English and Speech. Met my wife Diane there and we were married in June 1963. Entered USAF Officer Training school at Lackland AFB - San Antonio, TX in September 1963 and was commissioned a 2nd LT in December 1963. I was sent to Vung Tau, Viet Nam to work with the Army on the transfer of the Short Takeoff and Landing(STOL) C7A Caribou aircraft from the Army to the Air Force. I spent 28 years in the USAF with assignments in California, Illinois , New Jersey, Alabama, Hawaii and Washington DC. My assignment In Washington DC was with the Presidental Airlift Support Unit. I received an MBA from Pepperdine University, Malibu, CA in 1977. I have three children and six grandchildren who all live in California. I now reside in an active adult community - Sun City located in Georgetown, TX which about 25 miles north of the Texas Stae Capital in Austin.
