Jason's Story

Honestly, I am not sure how "well known" or "liked" was in high school. I knew of many in my class, but didn't get to know many of you out there. I was generally pretty quiet, shy, kept to myself, and had a very small group of friends. High school was difficult for me on many levels. I don't really keep up with anyone since then, but if you'd like to chat, I'd love to catch up on life now 25+ years ago (as I write this). Let's see.... Where to begin? Well, since graduating in '95, I have become what you would call a "journeyman". I left Mobile and moved to metro Atlanta. I met my wife in '01, married in '03, and have two kids. I graduated from the University of West Georgia in '00 with a B.S. Ed in Physical Education K12 where I taught P.E. on the elementary for 10 years before I left teaching. In between, before and after, I have worked as.....a Lead Ramp Agent for Delta at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Int. Airport, for Chick-fil-a, for Home Depot as a contracted worker, and I am currently working for a Wholesale Greenhouse. I've also been a Stay-At-Home Dad as well as medical caregiver to both of my kids. I have done many things, but there's a BIG reason for that. My nomadic job r...Expand for more
esume is because BOTH of my kids have multiple mental and physical special needs. BOTH of my kids have Severe Neurological Delays, Epilepsy (seizures), Nonverbal, and are in wheelchairs. On top of that, my son has a rare condition called Eagle-Barrett Syndrome and is on the Cerebral Palsy spectrum. So, the reason I've worked so many jobs is because I have to cater my life around my kids needs. If that wasn't enough, I was recently diagnosed with a rare and potentially fatal condition called, Barrett's Esophagus (not related to my son's condition). Even with all of the ups and downs of life that I have experienced, I've had many times that I've been blessed by God in tough situations. In a nutshell, this is me since high school. If you want to chat, I'm on Facebook (from Newnan, GA). Update: It is with great sadness that I announce the sudden passing of my 15-year-old son on 01/28/2022. He passed on due to Sepsis and Cardiac Arrest caused by the Sepsis. It was ruled that is passing was related to the many medical special needs he had. We have already had the funeral and cremation. My son, who lived a God given and inspired life, is now disability free, happy, and healthy in Heaven.
