Since I graduated from Franklin high in1970 ( though few people knew that I did since I wasn't at the graduation) I worked for several restaurants in Boston, working my way up to Executive Chef. In 1977 I joined the first advanced placement class at Johnson and Wales in Providence. I graduated Summa Cum Laude and was voted best student of the year by the faculty. From there I taught at Johnson and Wales , worked for companies in New York City, then I moved back to Boston and worked as Chef and Manager for some of the best restaurants there. In the early 80s I started studying ( in my off time) photography at the New England School of Photography and at The Mass. Fine Arts College. In 1985 I took a extra part time job with a New England retail camera company to help support my hobby, (who knew) 3 years later I was a Regional Manager. In 1989 I decided to move to Cuernavaca Mexico, for a couple of years, to photograph that country.
