After an 11-year hiatus living and married in the Finger Lakes region, I returned to Liverpool. I have a two-family house, which is constantly in a state of restoration, in the village. (The extra flat comes in handy. No, not rental income. At Christmastime, as a party house.) I am engaged to Al, a construction superintendent. My daughter Julie (30) will mark a year this March from the date of her successful cancer surgery. She's skinny and vegetarian which goes to show you that no one is immune. my southern belle grand-baby turns 3. The girls now live in Boone NC, in the Blue Ridge Mountains. (I liked visiting them in Nashville better!)
I am in my 17th year at my job: writing marketing, advertising, and public relations for a financial institution.
Never thought I'd be anywhere that long but 4 years of vacation is hard to walk away from! Most of my vacation time is used to see my girls. Thanks to them, I have built-in 'vacations' to Tennessee, Maine, and North Carolina.
Just living the every-day life of a gal in her hometown who has been an empty-nester since age 40, appreciating that my 16 year-old Nissan still runs, the flowers coming up in my yard, and a little extra money for the movies.
