Randy's Story

Out of high school I joined the U S Navy. I was in for 7 years and got out to take care of my daughters from a failed marriage. I went back into the Navy 2 years later and spent a total of 23 years. I advanced from enlisted to officer retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. In 1980 I married the love of my life Carol a local girl from Norfolk VA. We've been happily married ever since. Between us we have 4 kids 3 girls and a boy. we have 6 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter and a great-grandson so...Expand for more
on to be born. After retiring from the Navy I did government contract work for a year while volunteering as a auxiliary Deputy Sheriff. In 1996 I joined the Chesapeake Sheriffs Office full time. I was in law enforcement for 22 years and retired in 2018. I am now fully retired. I am happy with my career choices and proud of my years of public service. When graduating high school I never dreamed I would get to travel and seen or done the things I have. It has been a full filling and adventurous life.
