Paula Franz:

CLASS OF 1988

Paula's Story

Hi! It's 2008 and I am married to my husband of 18 years. We have two beautiful children. Our son is 12 years old and our daughter is 5 years old she will be going into the 1st grade this August. We still live here in Pinellas County. We like to travel, usually in State. We met at DisneyWorld. I attended SPJC for a few classes after graduation, but found married life and a full time job took up way more of my time than I thought, so I passed the classes that I was in and worked more on my career. I became a Title Ins. Closing Agent in 1989 and have been in the industry up until Dec. 2007. I also received my Mortgage Broker license and I went to school and have my Massage Therapy license. As the real estate market has taken a turn for the worse over the last year, I closed up my 3 offices and worked from home for a short time. Now I am working on independent Grant writing and am busing being a nanny/tutor beginning this summer. It's nice to not be so busy, but it's definetly a huge change in my life. Much slower paced, yes even with children! :D I have a myspace site- from the peer pressure of my friends. myspace dot com franzfamily2006 I hope to see everyone at the reunion for those that can't attend, I hope to hear from you. I have kept in contact with Bonnie Hansen, Carrie Hellyer, George and Diane Hopkins, Patty Crowley, Michael Norman, Andrea Hartman and a few more that I see every once in a while. I hope everyone has a great year! I always wanted to be a Marine Biologist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have coffee, coffee, and more coffee to be able to deal with the day-to-day. I have 4 cats, 1 is a domestic cat, the other 3 are exotic breeds and are more like furry little dogs. We also have adopted a bearded dragon. I will admit I watch Big Brother, Survivor, The Hills, The Real World, and all the other "reality tv shows". We came very close to being on Na...Expand for more
nny911, but my work got to busy and my daughter decided to be an angel on film. We got to be pre-filmed by the producers of the show. We didn't go on to phase 2 which is when the Nanny actually comes to our home. It was also bad that during the taping - one of our "pets" was found dead in our pool. One of our old bearded dragons, had died and it ended up being a tragic experience for my son at the time. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel home office and add on a garden workshop. My dream home would be located in Fiji. Patience, patience and more patience. Kids are great. We have lots of parties. I do a "kids only" party every New Years Eve and it's become a big hit with my kids and all their friends. The parents love it too, because we don't ask them to pick the kids up until 11 or 12 the next day. If I won $100 million, I'd give give 1/2 of it to my husband, set up trust funds for the kids and help out all my friends and family, then spend the rest on bank account, live off the interest and travel the world. My current age is 38. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be one foot in the grave. I was so completely wrong, 30 is the new 20! or haven't you heard. . My best friend would tell you I'm still the same easy going and fun, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as quiet and shy (hahahaha). Lets just say that I have a "special" commitment to my old clothes that I have no room for anymore! In 10 years, I hope to be in Fiji after I win the lottery. I'm going to get there by sheer imagination and wishful thinking. Carrie Hellyer and I met when we were 7 years old. We met in her front yard, I had just moved into the neighborhood. We met Bonnie Hansen later the next year and we have stayed friends. We go out to dinner once a month. We have the waiter/waitress take a picture every time! My first job was at Country Dinner Playhouse, where I got paid 4.75 hour to be a hostess. What I remember most about it is the crazy actors/actresses! What Fun..
