Maria's Story
Life
I am single and born again. For God's glory and honor, I serve Him as a Deaconess, Youth Pastor, member of the Praise and Worship Team and employed by a private prison in Youngstown as the Faith Based Program Coordinator in a 6 month curriculum where I teach Basic Life Principles from the Bible to inmates. I am also a Foster Parent for Trumbull County Children Services.
I am thrilled that my only child has graduated as Salutatorian and has received over $140,000 in scholarships. He now attends Case Western Reserve University.
I love life and love to make the most of each moment and to create memories. I love to laugh and have fun. My Lord is first in everything. Next to him is my family and then the ministry that He has placed in my hands.
I truly enjoy the outdoors. I go camping, hiking, boating, jet skiing, biking, f...Expand for more
ishing and more. My dream is to go cross country biking for example from Youngstown to Washington D. C. and if I could discipline myself, I would love to run a 26K. (First I've got to lose weight and begin running again).
School
While I was in high school, I went out with Dennis DelValle. I didn't have a big crush on any one. Mr. Bentley inspired me because he was consistent and dedicated. I perceived him to be a hard worker. He was also my Track Coach and he always believed in us. Through his confidence, he helped the rest of us believe in ourselves.
One of the things I also enjoyed was that 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's show we did. I can't believe that it started in the basement of someone's house and later they got permission to put on the show for the entire student body!! I'll have to admit that our class was AWESOME!
