LeeamâÂÂs musical career started in the early 60âÂÂs when his folk trio, the ÂÂCarolee Singersâ won an intramural competition to represent Rutgers University in the First Intercollegiate Folk Song
Festival. Sponsored by the Goya Guitar Company, the festival took place at the Grossingers Resort in the Catskill Mountains in New York State. â¨Months later they were invited to take the place of the
famous âÂÂWeaversâÂÂ, a folk singing group, who had canceled out of a Rutgers Concert in Newark,NJ. A representative of Savoy Records who was present at the performance, invited the group to an audition and

them a recording contract. This never came to fruition, as shortly thereafter Leeam was drafted into the US Army.
Stationed at Beaumont General Hospital in El Paso, Texas, he started up a new folk trio. However, after 6 months he was deployed to an Evacuation Hospital in Germany. In his final year in the service Leeam
auditioned and was accepted into the 7th Army Soldiers Chorus and was instrumental in starting the chorusâ first folk trios, performing in chorus concerts and in German Universities. ¨The Chorus toured Europe singing in concert halls and on European television in Paris, Berlin, Italy, and England. In 1965,competing in Holland against more than 70 other choruses, they were awarded first place in Europe.
The Alumni Chorus sang the National Anthem at a Philadelphia-Cincinnati baseball game in 2010 and in June, 2013 performed in 2 concerts in Germany. In the years since, aside from working in his profession as a hospital pharmacist, Leeam has managed to keep on performing, recording as well as writing music. His music is available on CDBaby, iTunes, Amazon, Soundcloud, Jango as well as other popular internet sites.
