Karen's Story
I came to Canada back in 1972. My neice Linda and I hitched across the country as it was safer here to do that. We were headed for California.
Linda got there but I stayed on in Canada. I love it here in British Columbia. I live in a semi desert area of BC and often travel around the province to some beautiful areas. I just became a Canadian citizen recently but still hold my U.S. citizenship as well. I have a son,Eric who I adore...Expand for more
. His Dad is a musician and I guess he had some influence in his love for music. But if you ask him he would tell you that I was his mentor in his early days. Eric, has been playing with a band now for over a year. They practice hard and it shows in what they put out. All original stuff.
Me, I love my job as a community health care worker. I am haapy but could use a vacation. I hope to make it to the 40th class reunion next year.
