Joseph's Story
After college at Rutgers I lived locally for a few years, then moved to New York City and never looked back. For some time I worked freelance gigs, mostly writing or copyediting. This was great for awhile. During one four year stretch I don't think I worked steady 9 to 5-type hours for more than a total of six months. Every week was a four-day weekend, and I lived life as largely as I could. Over-compensation...Expand for more
for a rather sheltered, and timid, childhood, no doubt.
Now, I'm at the other extreme. At an age when most of you were probably getting settled in your career or growing a family I decided to return to school, obtained a degree in law right before I turned 36, and now work at a large law firm here in the city. The unifying theme through my life has been that I am happiest when I am learning something new.
