James's Story
Following our graduation in June of 1966, I spent many years pursuing my education, teaching children, exhibiting art on the east coast, and doing design work for children who were physically challenged. In 1980, I moved to Michigan, and worked with children, or in Higher Education since then. Over those years, I also graduated from being a depressed, loner in High School, to being a creative and very happy 73 y.o. liberal. g in it. Since this is the second time I have done this, it might be a current measure of my bad judgement and sanity. I am currently volunteering in my neighborhood, going to galleries every week, and making more art.
My favorite experiences in life have been traveling to developing countries and learning from others about their lives and cultures. One of my more interesting memories was spending time in a Buganese village, built on stilts into the sea, on the north coast of Java. I am grateful that I have had so many opportunities to see the beauty that abounds everywhere in our world,
