Life
Life has a funny way of taking you for a ride, letting you think all the while that you are in control and finding out that you're not!
I married my HS sweetheart, traveled to exotic places, built my career and woke up one morning to find that we weren't in the same playing field anymore.
Hubby #2 hails from the hottest place on Earth - Ecuador - and now I know why people call it that - it's where the devil lives (yes, I mean him!)
We have a 16 year old son named Christian who has the face of an Angel and the disposition of the Devil ... I guess you all know which part he got from me ; )
On a very sad note, I lost both my parents within the past 5 years. Both of their deaths were sudden and unexpected.
This then would make life equal total choas. Trying to manage a student who does not take after his mother, a home and a career (not necessarily in that order) leaves little time for socialization ... but there is time in the wee hours of the morning to read e-mail, so if anyone is interested in writing, you will definitely hear back from me!
Hope you are all well and happy ... sorry I missed so many of you at the big 20! Where were you hiding? Hopefully I'll see you at the BIG 25! YIKES!!!

usiness world is that 95% of the people can't think their way out of a shoe box, illiteracy is rampant and today's graduates think that they are entitled to an office and $50k to start just because they are grads.
My work experience started while I was in college and I am happy to say that I have been with the same management team since. For those of you who are mathematically challenged, that's 30 years. During that time I have had the opportunity to learn all aspects of a wholesale operation. From design to purchasing to manufacturing. I skipped Sales because it was never my forte but loved Finance, Operations and Production which is were I am today.
So what's the downside? Well, there's plenty of that too! Being in wholesale means that your dependent on Retail. For those of you who following business news, you will know, Retail has taken a pounding in recent years. Principally since the events of 9/11. It therefore unfortunately doesn't matter how well YOU have performed, because the bottom line is, if your customer did not have a successful season, you pay the price.
Is it worth it? Up until now it has had it's rewards. But I feel a change coming on. The feeling of needing to spread my wings and apply my knowledge and experience to something more personal. I'll keep you posted! :)
