Amy's Story
Life
I am a college professor in a veterinary nursing program. When I graduated with my veterinary nursing Bachelor's Degree in 1995 I became liscensed as a vet nurse and worked in veterinary surgery for four years. I began working at Mount Ida College in 1999 as a member of the faculty teaching veterinary clinical nursing, large animal medicine, and veterinary sports medicine. I also and the coach of the Equestrian Team at Mt. Ida.
I am still an avid rider. I own three horses which I have at home on my farm in Coventry, RI. I married Jeff (yes same guy I was with in...Expand for more
High School) and we have two beautiful children; my son Austin 7 and my daughter Morgan 4.
In 2004 I was the RI State NBHA Barrel Racing Champion and have qualified for the barrel racing world Championships in 2004 and 2005. I was also elected as the President of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America for 2006.
I completed my Master's Degree in Education is 2004 so that I could move towards a full professorship at the college which I obtained this year.
